Things that annoy a beauty product addict

When you love beauty products there are simple things that can drive you crazy. The other day I watched a lady in Boots try on a lipstick tester. On her lips. Without wiping it first. She just picked it up, popped it on and put it back. Not a care in the world. Clearly she laughs in the face of the common cold or herpes. 

Personally I would never use a makeup tester on my face. Germs ahoy people, germs ahoy. Back of my hand is perfectly fine thank you. I don't know why it did, but this lady's simple carefree action really got my back up. Perhaps I need to chill out? 

It did however get me thinking about other simple things in the world of beauty products that make me cross. Here are a few: 

~ When you don't twist your lipstick down far enough before putting the lid on and it smooshes up into a big mess. Even worse if the lippie is brand new. 

~ The fact that your shower is full of conditioner bottles. Why can't shampoo bottles contain more product so you're not left with an ever increasing collection of half full conditioners? 

~ When you buy a new makeup product, all boxed up beautifully, and you get it home to find out that someone has already stuck their grubby mitts in it and it's full of fingerprints.  

~ You do a huge sneeze whilst your mascara is still wet. Panda eyes anyone? 

~ You're washing your hair and you squeeze out a palm full of conditioner thinking it was shampoo. Such. A. Waste. 

~ You always get an unbelievably itchy itch on your scalp the second you've finished painting your nails. 

~ Long wearing lipstick that gets on your teeth. It's like permanent marker. If only it stuck to your lips that well. 

~ Getting hairspray in your eye. Whilst your mascara is still wet. Oh hello again panda eyes. 

~ The fact that someone's guaranteed to knock on the door when you've got a face mask on. Or when you've just got in the bath. 

~ Discovering a holy grail product or shade you love was limited edition or has been discontinued. Serves you right for 'keeping it for best' and taking too long to use it up.  

~ Buying an extravagant makeup purchase that just doesn't suit you or look good. No matter how many times you try on that foundation it's still too dark. And that lipstick will always make you look like death warmed up.

~ When your eyeliner pencil point snaps off in the middle of lining your eye. Panda eye, there you are again.
